The Brutal Truth About Why Your Lifestyle Changes Aren't Sticking (and How to Fix It)


If you keep falling off, I want you to know something up front:

It’s not your fault.

You’re not lazy. You’re not broken.

You’re a human, and humans are creatures of habit.


Most of your patterns around food, rest, energy, and self-care were programmed when you were a child. The foods that comfort you. The ones you crave when you’re tired or sad. The way you push through burnout because “rest feels lazy.” That’s not you failing, that’s your nervous system doing exactly what it was trained to do.


But here’s the kicker: the same patterns that helped you survive back then… are making you sick now. So of course they’re hard to break. Of course you “slip.” This isn’t about willpower. It’s about rewiring.


Here’s the fix:

Start seeing this whole healing thing as a creative act. Design your future self. Visualize the person you want to become.

→ What does your life look like without fatigue?

→ What does a flare-free morning feel like?

→ How do you move through your day when your energy is actually steady, when you’re not crashing, bingeing, or surviving?

Start there. Because when you connect to that future self, your habits become a bridge, not a burden.


And yes, this takes time.

It’s going to feel inconvenient. It’s going to cost money, energy, trial, and error.

You’ll spend twice as long in the kitchen.

You’ll Google a hundred things.

But that’s the cost of becoming someone new.
